Cedar Decking
Northville Lumber stocks the best “Select-Tight-Knot” (STK), “Kiln-Dried” (KD) Inland Red Cedar (IRC) available in Michigan.
Renowned for its natural beauty, decay resistance, and insect resistance, Cedar has been the material of choice for custom deck builders for decades.
We carry all sizes and lengths, maintaining a large inventory capable of supporting nearly any project.
Treated Lumber Decking
In addition to our vast array of dimensional and sheet treated lumber, we carry “Patio” grade Ponderosa Pine (PP) radius-edge decking. This decking is 1-5/32″ thick, hence the moniker, “Thick-Deck.”
Commonly referred to as 5/4×6 (“five-quarter by six”), our PP Thick-Deck is far superior to the Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) or Red Pine (RP) decking carried by our competitors and the big-box stores. You will find that our PP Thick-Deck has less warp, cup, splits and sap than those other treated decking products.
We stock this product in even lengths from 8′ to 20′ and deliver it to customers all over southern Michigan every day.
We also carry a PP “Appearance” grade 2×4 and 2×6, great for decking surfaces and also those railing projects that demand a product that is good on both sides.
PWT Treated LVL Joists provide a perfectly FLAT decking surface. No crown, warp, twist, cracks or wane commonly found in solid-sawn lumber. With Longer spans you’ll need fewer post holes, posts and cement. You can eliminate beams, hardware and most importantly… ELIMINATE LABOR!
Diamond Pier® Foundation System
A unique solid pin pile foundation that reaches deep into the ground without digging holes or pouring concrete!
Reliable and durable, Diamond Pier foundations are perfect for decks, outdoor stairways, enclosed decks, raised walkways and more.
Easy installation: A precast concrete head is installed at the ground surface, then steel bearing pins are driven through the head and into the ground using a simple light-duty demolition hammer.
