Our Two Locations
Northville Lumber is home to our retail store and lumber yard, offering an extensive inventory of building materials. Our facility, located on Five Mile Road in Northville, MI, provides convenient access for professional builders, remodelers, and homeowners alike.
Northville Lumber’s Novi Home Design Center, located on the southeast corner of 9 Mile and Novi Road, opened in 2016 to complement our Northville building supply location. The Home Design Center offers an expanded space to showcase our comprehensive home improvement product line, with a special focus on window and door replacement. Customers can explore a wide range of colors, styles, and materials, and discover the latest innovations in home design to help transform their spaces.
Our Rich History
Originally established as a flour mill by John Miller in 1827 in what was then known as the “northernmost village of Plymouth Township” (later to become Northville), history buffs may be interested to learn that records on file with Oakland County validate Northville Lumber’s claim to fame as the oldest business in Michigan.
In addition to its acclaimed longevity, Northville Lumber has been family-owned since 1890 and is proudly operated today by the sixth generation of the Yerkes family.
